politics = the different stories con artists sell us about how and why they’re spending our money, while none of it ever seems to benefit us
power = people’s time, attention, and energy
power > politics
power only ever belongs to the people, because it’s a current of energy we imbue into things. no one has it but us. politicians just gaslight you into thinking they are your bosses. they are not. we are theirs. we pay them. this is our people’s vote of no confidence. reclaim your power and give it back to your neighborhood. then, and only then, can we reshape politics into a set of agreements about how we use our resources to care for one another. we can’t buy groceries at a hardware store, but we can damn well plant a garden. [said proverbially.]
