it’s gonna take 41,642 villages of hope to save our democracy— let’s start by building one here. why 41,642? that’s the number of zip codes there are in the united states. because fascism is on the rise, thanks to a bunch of rich jerks who want to wreck shit for all of us, i encourage neighbors from every country. i hold out a special invite to anyone struggling against the rise of fascism, police states, and authoritarianism in their communities. you belong here. your wisdom belongs here.

this podcast isn’t about fancy people with books and degrees and television appearance. this is for us common folk. the weirdos, lovers, and dreamers who are rolling up their sleeves to build a pro-democracy communities, one zip code at a time. fascism needs us scared and alone. we respond by becoming more neighborly and connected to each other than ever before. that’s how we win this.
